Liv’n in the New. Going Green. Step Right Up. Harvesting Your Passions. These are just a few of the phrases that Leisure Care residents will be hearing a lot of in 2010 as these, among others, are the themes that have been chosen to represent the communities and will be woven throughout everything we do in 2010. That’s right. Every Leisure Care community will embrace the themes each month and tie them in to every department. From activities to food service, to PrimeFit and the overall culture of the community, the theme of the month will be represented in all that we do. What does this mean for Leisure Care residents, family members, and employees? It means a year of fun, creative and purpose-driven programming that will enhance lives and allow people to get involved and express their individuality. After all, the themes may be shared by everyone, but what the communities choose to do with them is entirely up to them.

March’s theme is Strike a Chord, and this month the chord most often struck in our communities will be music. Communities will be going to the symphony, starting their own bands or choirs, learning to play new instruments, making instruments, raising money to acquire instruments for local schools…the list goes on. Other communities will take the theme in a different direction and focus on the word “strike” by hosting fashion shows (strike a pose), Wii bowling tournaments, and making trips to the ballpark to catch some Spring Training games. With all of this creativity and excitement, March is sure to be another month of enrichment, new challenges, and, most importantly, fun!
