Liv’n in the New. Going Green. Step Right Up. Harvesting Your Passions. These are just a few of the phrases that Leisure Care residents will be hearing a lot of in 2010 as these, among others, are the themes that have been chosen to represent the communities and will be woven throughout everything we do in 2010. That’s right. Every Leisure Care community will embrace the themes each month and tie them in to every department. From activities to food service, to PrimeFit and the overall culture of the community, the theme of the month will be represented in all that we do. What does this mean for Leisure Care residents, family members, and employees? It means a year of fun, creative and purpose-driven programming that will enhance lives and allow people to get involved and express their individuality. After all, the themes may be shared by everyone, but what the communities choose to do with them is entirely up to them.

In September Leisure Care communities are going Star Gazing! Some communities are focusing on the stars in the sky with visits to planetariums, studying the stars during their wine and cheese pairings, studying their astrological signs, or taking 23 million steps around their solar system in their NuStep Challenge! Other communities are studying the stars right off the movie screens by hosting celebrity gala's and happy hours where you will find some of the greats of Hollywood, making their mark Hollywood-style with footprints and handprints in cement or having their own "Walk of Fame". Our PrimeFit programs and restaurants are even getting involved so you can walk like a star after some yoga and posture classes, or dine on some Celebrity Chef cuisine. This month will not be dull with all the glitz, glamour and shine! And these are only a few highlights!
