Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, residents and staff at Markham House Senior Living have done the right thing and remained committed to following rapidly evolving health protocols. With the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine, Markham House remains committed to our residents’ health and wellness, keeping safety as our priority as we look forward to a new normal.
Markham House Hosts Second Vaccination Clinic
Markham House is a boutique-style assisted living community where residents are known, and community is valued. As last year evolved, and we responded to the pandemic, we put our residents first, exceeding CDC guidance and putting enhanced protocols into place. Our residents were able to stay socially engaged and physically distanced throughout the year, while our staff became more creative than ever in continuing to cultivate relationships and meaningful interactions.
On March 3, 2021, residents and staff at Markham House received the second dose of the COVID vaccine. 100 percent of residents at Markham House are now vaccinated against the virus. Because of our high vaccination rate, we can reopen some of the community amenities that were closed because of COVID-19. Our dining room is now reopened for residents who want to eat a meal with friends, and some of our in-person social events have now resumed for residents who feel comfortable attending in-person activities. We continue to follow all CDC guidance and state protocols to navigate a new phase in the pandemic safely.
