Each year, Canfield Place joins other Leisure Care communities in getting active and raising money to support the communities where we live, work, and play! Learn more about our participation in this year’s February Fitness Frenzy!

Three-Thirds Lifestyle at Canfield Place

canfield-place-shuffleboardLeisure Care communities across the country join forces every February to participate in a Fitness Frenzy. As part of our Three-Thirds Lifestyle that strives to balance family, community, and work, the Fitness Frenzy supports the One Eighty Foundation and local charities within each community. As part of the Fitness Frenzy, residents and staff members are encouraged to get at least 30 minutes of activity per day and raise pledges for every active minute.

February Fitness Frenzy is a way for Canfield Place to start 2020 off right by getting our residents moving and educated on their health. At Canfield Place, our creative PrimeFit instructor provided a wide variety of activities to keep us active including specialized exercise classes, healthy bingo, raffle prizes, organized walks, not to mention the healthy and delicious snacks provided along the way!canfield-place-functional-fitness-class

During the week, residents participated in shuffleboard, seated soccer, morning meditations, and more. On Tuesdays, the staff would challenge each other in games organized by our PrimeFit instructor and every Friday we gathered for Minute to Win It challenges and residents could see evidence of their progress.

We love participating in February’s Fitness Frenzy but physical fitness and overall wellness are prioritized at Canfield Place throughout the year. We would love for you to stop by and join us for our programs and activities that are engaging and accessible!

Live Big. Live Bold.

Retirement should feel like you’re on a permanent vacation which is exactly why our communities celebrate freedom from obligation, helping you pursue new interests.
