“I am so grateful to the staff who assisted and supported my dad’s move from Florida to Connecticut while adhering to the safety measures that were in place. Living outside of the U.S., the tremendous willingness of the staff to step in and help organize the move was, for me, just what was needed to get this done. Once we arrived at the Landing of North Haven, it felt like coming home, meeting everyone who had been so kind and helpful to us. After his first night at The Landing, my father said to me that when he woke up he was happy and that he felt safe.” -Kathy H., family member of a resident

“It’s evident that this is a caring place and we have made the right decision for dad to live here. Thank you to the wonderful staff.” -Shaun G., family member of a resident

“Long overdue thanks for the spectacular 100th birthday event you planned for dad – truly a day we and he will remember fondly! The world needs a lot more people who are as thoughtful as you – thank you for your kindness!” –Cathy & Mike, family members of a resident

“The Landing at North Haven has made this transition easy, enjoyable, and professional. Not only have they kept everyone safe and healthy, but they have also kept them smiling, laughing, and entertained. They are well-fed and enjoy special meals on holidays and birthdays. The aides and dining staff are friendly, creative, and supportive of the residents. The entire staff is extremely down to earth and understand the trials and tribulations that these older adults are experiencing. They are open and welcoming to requests, comments, and concerns of the residents and their families. I can not recommend The Landing more to anyone seeking a beautiful, comfortable, and progressive community for themselves or their loved ones. Thanks to everyone at The Landing!” –Diane G., family member of a resident

“All I have ever wished for my mom is that she be happy, well taken care of, safe, and remain physically and socially active. The Landing of North Haven has fulfilled my wishes above and beyond!” –Evelyn D., family member of a resident

“This is beautiful! You always make the “special” days in their lives extra special. Looking at these pictures tugged at my heart even if I don’t know them personally, it helps us remember that they had fulfilling lives.” –Pat B., family member of a resident

We wanted to take the time to say thank you for all you and the whole staff at The Landing have done to keep our parents safe. These sure are crazy times, but during our conversations with our parents, we have heard the ways that you all have made their days easier. We certainly don’t take for granted the kindness you all have shown. You truly are our heroes!” – Dave and Renee C., family members of residents

“Top-notch! The staff has always been thoughtful and compassionate. They are true professional one and all. Both of my parents reside at the Landing. Dad is in the Opal unit. I feel blessed that we found this facility. Thank you so very much for all that you do every day.” – Linda C., family member of resident

“A shout out of appreciation to the care providers at the Landing North Haven, CT for your compassionate care every day and especially during these unprecedented times.” – Stanley Z., family member of resident

“I want to express my gratitude to all of the aides, nurses, administrative personnel, and maintenance employees at The Landing. We have visited my mom and everyone has been very helpful in handling these visits while we are outdoors using phones or walkie talkies during our visits. I know everyone is even more occupied at this time with all of the necessary precautions that need to be taken at this time and everyone we have encountered has always had a smile and understanding look on their face. Prior to this situation I knew we had picked the best place for our Mom but never knew how important this was going to be because we never expected this situation and I now realize this was absolutely the best decision we could have made.” – Family of resident Gina B.

“The Landing has much to offer their residents, three meals per day of your choice, cooked by chefs and served to you by well trained friendly waitresses in the spacious dining room. There are many rooms of different sizes to suit all needs including a ‘respite room’ available to give the potential resident the experience of living at the Landing. There are many interesting activities to choose from including artwork, ceramics, card games, Bingo, just to name a few. There is also entertainment in many forms including cooking demos, singers, guitarists, pianists, and more. There are many well-trained nurses and other staff members always available to meet your needs. Maintenance staff is ready to fill any requests you might have, all done with expertise plus more than a friendly attitude. Whatever the residents’ request might be, such as hanging photos, moving furniture and too many more to mention. And most importantly, the friendliest of all the residents. A wonderful place to meet and get to know each other. A little poem I remember from years gone by went like this, “Make new friends, But keep the old, One is silver, And the other is gold.” You will find both at The Landing!” – Peg A., resident

“I just want to say thank you. I knew we liked The Landing when we decided to have our Mom move to The Landing last month but we never knew what was coming our way with all the changes in our lives. Words can’t express our gratitude and love to all of you on how you are handling this situation. This goes out to your staff also. You are the real heroes in helping us get past this difficult time. This has been difficult for all of us and all of you but what you have done is so appreciative. Thank you again and stay well.”– Pat and Ed B., residents
