Prioritizing Professional Development

Leisure Care communities are exciting places to work and grow while developing a lifelong passion. We know our people are what make our communities so great. That’s why we have created unique professional development programs that identify future leaders in the company and invest in them accordingly.

Among the professional development programs offered are the Management Associate Program (MA) and Guiding, Recognizing, and Inspiring Talent (GRIT). Both our MA and GRIT programs help current employees build personal and professional skills. While the MA program allows employees to fine-tune their skills to become a general manager of their own community, the GRIT program takes a more broad approach, cultivating public speaking skills, resume building, networking and interviewing skills, communication, and leadership development – all while building meaningful relationships with our executive development team.

Krista Sweet, the current Business Office Manager at Fairwinds – Desert Point, is among the newest graduates from the MA program. She has been working diligently since last March, balancing her current role while becoming immersed in all areas of community operations. Traveling to other communities to train and assist, she has a passion for learning and making a positive impact in the lives of those around her.
