Ziplining Takes Retirement to New Heights

Today’s older adults aren’t closing a chapter, and they certainly aren’t slowing down. They’re constantly challenging stereotypes and finding creative ways to keep on rocking. At Russellville Park, they are doing that every day. On a sunny Friday, August 18th, our spirited group of residents embarked on a journey to Skamania Lodge Adventures. The lush, moss-covered firs of the rainforest canopy were their playground as they flew suspended by a cable through the canopy. The tour was nothing short of exhilarating, featuring seven different ziplines, with the longest one stretching over a remarkable 900 feet. It was an afternoon that pushed them out of their comfort zones and into a realm of pure fun and adventure.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Aiden and Jada at Skamania Lodge Adventures for making this day so exciting and memorable. Their expertise and enthusiasm added an extra layer of joy to this unforgettable experience.
