14th Annual Treehouse Pajama Drive

Leisure Care, One Eighty Foundation, and Treehouse, a non-profit organization dedicated to giving foster children a childhood and a future, team up each year to help children in foster care have a cozy pair of pajamas for the winter months.

Leisure Care and our parent company, One Eighty, are committed to living a three-thirds lifestyle. It means we put family first, we give back to the community, and we make meaningful contributions to the company. We know that when our employees are fulfilled, they can pour into our communities and residents, making meaningful connections and a real impact in the lives of those around them. One of the ways we live out the three-thirds lifestyle is through community projects like the Treehouse Pajama Drive.

We are proud to work with One Eighty and partner with Treehouse to serve local children in the foster care program. For the past 14 years, we have worked together to help children have a cozy and comfortable pair of pajamas for the holidays. Collecting donations from participating senior living communities, we have donated over 1,000 pairs of pajamas to be distributed in Treehouse free stores. Children in the foster care program then choose their own pajamas and leave with them – for free. While many of the pajamas are purchased and then donated, many are also made by senior living residents. Residents at Fairwinds – Redmond have been working all year to donate handcrafted pajamas to Treehouse.

This year’s pajama party occurred on Friday, November 16th. Volunteers from Leisure Care and local Leisure Care Communities met with the Treehouse staff at their Wearhouse – with many getting into the pajama party spirit by wearing pajamas. Our team removed retail tags, hangers, folded, sorted and re-ticked donations so they were ready for shoppers to take home. We collected 949 pairs of pajamas, 54 accessories and 23 pairs of socks. We also provided 34 volunteers and 84.45 hours to process all of our donations in just shy of 6 hours.
