Van Mall Retirement’s 10th Annual Car Show

Van Mall Car Show Fundraiser

For the past ten years, Van Mall has put together an annual car show to raise funds for a worthy cause. This was the tenth year of our fundraiser, and it was the best one yet! With more cars, more visitors, and more energy, this year’s car show surpassed our highest expectations.

Throughout the past decade, Van Mall has hosted a car show that brings residents, families, friends, and community members together to raise money and awareness for a charity. The first-year funds benefitted the Brain Tumor Association, followed by the Arthritis Foundation, Most recently, the car show has benefited Share of Vancouver, a local charity that benefits the homeless and hungry.

Through the hard work and dedication of the Van Mall staff and despite a community renovation, everything came together perfectly. The energy and a strong sense of community were obvious to all who attended.

“The car show was amazing and my six friends who brought their cars had a good time! They are looking forward to next year’s show.” – Bert Uthe, Van Mall resident

The event raised over $3,2000 for Share of Vancouver, which will be doubled during the community-wide one great day of sharing event. All of the $6,400 will go to Share of Vancouver to provide meals, housing, and training skills for many people. We are thankful for the many people who put so many hours into the show and for the generous donations from our community.

“So now it is time to finish our clean up. Dust ourselves off, and pat ourselves on the back for a job very well done for a worthy cause. This is just one of the things that makes Van Mall such a special place to live and to work. More than ever before the Van was really ROCKING last night!” – Bill Hess, General Manager, Van Mall
