Canfield Place Tours Oregon State Capitol

At Canfield Place, our fun and dynamic activities calendar is driven by resident input and interest. We understand the importance of staying active in the community and take advantage of our prime location in beautiful Beaverton, Oregon. Our residents have access to a variety of different programs from intergenerational activities to historic and educational opportunities, like our most recent trip to the Oregon State Capitol.

Canfied Place Residents at Oregon State Capitol Canfield Place residents traveled down to Salem for a tour of the Oregon State Capitol. Our tour, led by an experienced volunteer who had been providing tours of the State Capitol for over 15 years, was interesting and engaging. Our residents were impressed by his knowledge and learned so much about Oregon’s history.

“Our docent really knew what he was talking about. He had some great trivia about the Capitol up his sleeve!” – Carole Hughes

Gorgeous paintings adorned the cascading walls of the Capitol and depicted a few of the more famous stories relating to Oregon history.

“Oh, what an interesting tour it was! I loved learning about all the different paintings and the history behind them – along with all who have served our state!” – Shirley Wagner

By the end of the tour, residents were even more excited about future historical lectures at our community!

We would love for you to join us on our next outing! Stop by Canfield Place today to learn more about our upcoming events and activities. There’s something for everyone!
