Canfield Place Explores Local Winery

Canfield Place is located in the heart of Oregon’s wine country in Beaverton, Oregon. The city of Beaverton is the gateway to Tualatin Valley’s wine country boasting urban wineries and estate vineyards. Residents at Canfield Place recently took advantage of their ideal location for a day of wine tasting at Oak Knoll Winery.

At Canfield Place, our residents guide everything we do. From community programs to group excursions, our residents design their retirement – and it’s our privilege to help them make the most of every day!

We recently traveled Oak Knoll Winery nestled in the picture perfect Willamette Valley. We had a large group and the winery was the perfect setting with rolling hills and vineyards to socialize, develop meaningful connections with each other. The tour took us step by step through the tasting process and we chose six different wines to sample while the educated staff told us about the wines we were tasting.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the day saying,

“The weather was so nice! The picnic made the wine tasting even more enjoyable!” – Mary Jean Davis

“The pinot noir was my favorite. I bought four bottles of it for friends!” – Donna Poole

We finished the tasting with a delicious picnic lunch packed by our very own Canfield Place restaurant. It was a day to remember with perfect weather, a gorgeous drive through Oregon’s wine country, and tasting robust wine!

We’d love for you to join us on our next excursion! Check out our calendar of events and contact us!
