Van Mall resident Ed Schneider is 94 years old and on hospice care. Prior to moving to Van Mall, Ed went to the Veterans of Foreign Wars every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Ed swears that the clam chowder at the VFW is the best in town and asked Abby Scurlock, concierge at Van Mall, to accompany him for a meal.

Abby arranged for the Van Mall bus to take them to lunch at the VFW, She said she was honored to join him at lunch and that the company and conversation was just as good as the clam chowder!
