“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” – Leo Buscaglia
At Van Mall, we actively choose to celebrate the little things and we don’t underestimate the impact of a small, kind gesture. That’s why we have a five-star concierge service. Our concierge not only makes the lives of our residents easier by scheduling transportation, spa services, and more, they also work with our residents to make wishes come true.
Van Mall resident Ed Schneider is 94 years old and on hospice care. Prior to moving to Van Mall, Ed went to the Veterans of Foreign Wars every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Ed swears that the clam chowder at the VFW is the best in town and asked Abby Scurlock, concierge at Van Mall, to accompany him for a meal.
Abby arranged for the Van Mall bus to take them to lunch at the VFW, She said she was honored to join him at lunch and that the company and conversation was just as good as the clam chowder!
We love our residents and work to make their every wish a reality. It’s not only an amazing place to live – it’s an amazing place to work! Stop by Van Mall today and join us for lunch. We’d love to have you!
