Giving Back: Fairwinds – River’s Edge Charity Golf Tournament Will Benefit Veterans

Fairwinds - River's Edge Golf Tournament

STCFW Golf Tournament At Fairwinds – River’s Edge, we believe in living The Three-Thirds Lifestyle – putting family first, giving back to our community, and making meaningful contributions to our company. That commitment will be on full display this September at our fifth annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the VFW National Home for Children.

On Thursday, September 18th, Fairwinds – River’s Edge, alongside our sister community The Landing of O’Fallon, will partner with Nurses & Company and Angels Care to host this feel-good event at Bear Creek Golf Course. Residents, families, staff, and friends will come together for a little friendly competition, all in the name of a great cause.

Supporting Veterans and Their Families

As a Leisure Care community, we encourage an unconventional approach to employee relations: the “Three-Thirds Lifestyle”, which is all about balancing life in three distinct ways. First, we encourage our employees to put family before all else. Then, we promote giving back to the larger community where we live, work, and play. Finally, we want employees to contribute meaningfully to our work environments.

This commitment to community is at the heart of everything we do — and it’s why events like our annual charity golf tournament mean so much to us.

Veterans are near and dear to our hearts at Fairwinds – River’s Edge, and we believe supporting them is everyone’s responsibility. Proceeds from the tournament will go to the VFW National Home for Children, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in need. Our previous tournament raised nearly $29,500, and we are excited to continue making an impact.

“We are happy and proud to partner up with the VFW National Home once again this year,” shares Ann Williams, General Manager at Fairwinds – River’s Edge. “It truly is an excellent organization that gives back to those in need who served our country and fought for our freedom.
