Springfield Place Senior Living Hosts Fall Prevention Seminar

Senior falls can be an obstacle to senior health and independence, often leading to hospitalization, fractures, and brain injuries. Preventing falls in seniors becomes increasingly important with age since one fall increases the chance of other, more severe falls.

At Springfield Place senior living, residents enjoy access to PrimeFit Wellness, a holistic health program exclusively available to Leisure Care community residents. Through PrimeFit Wellness, residents focus on five core elements of living well, including balance, physical fitness, nutrition, brain health, and lifestyle. These elements come together to create a comprehensive approach to health and wellness that can prevent falls and protect residents from the effects of a fall.

Springfield Place assisted living will be hosting a seminar to help our residents, their families, and guests learn more about balance and strategies for fall prevention on March 22, 2022, at 10:30 am. Led by Angela Lomeli, M.S., the seminar will include the science behind balance and give practical key strategies to help prevent future falls.
