Regaining Independence with PrimeFit at Van Mall

Barbara Ashmore at Van MallBarbara Ashmore is a Van Mall resident who moved into our community after a fall at her church. She cracked three vertebrae in her neck, broke her wrist, broke her femur in three places and injured her shoulder. She had spent one month in a rehabilitation community and was in a wheelchair.

Up until her fall, Barbara was active, walking two miles before breakfast most mornings. Wanting to regain mobility and independence, we worked with Barbara to create a fitness plan that could help her achieve her goals. Through our PrimeFit classes and workouts on NuStep, Barbara regained the ability to do many of the things she did prior to her fall. She continues to attend early morning workout classes five days a week and spends 20 minutes on the NuStep after dinner. Barbara says she has learned more about her body from her PrimeFit instructor than ever before. She says,

“I am grateful to Van Mall’s PrimeFit program for helping me gain myself back.”

If you’re looking to make a change in your lifestyle, stop by Van Mall today. We would love for you to drop in on one of our fitness classes and meet our PrimeFit instructors!
