A Heartfelt Thanks to Washington Oakes

Home/Our Communities/A Heartfelt Thanks to Washington Oakes

Leisure Care communities across the country are working hard to implement new standards of care while navigating new protocols, all while still maintaining our standard exceptional service and Five-Star Fun. We would like to thank the team at Washington Oakes independent living and assisted living who are meeting these new challenges with enthusiasm and professionalism. We appreciate all you do!

Dear Tad,

We just wanted to express our extreme gratitude for the exceptional care and commitment you and your staff are giving our father, as well as all the residents at Washington Oakes, during this crisis. We know these are unprecedented challenging times that your community is facing. We are so impressed with how you responded to this global COVID-19 outbreak, even before many measures were mandated by the Governor, to preemptively keep your residents and staff healthy and safe!

Every day you and your staff are putting your own health and well-being at risk to provide for the health and welfare of our loved one. Not only have you continued to deliver outstanding provisions for the residents’ daily physical needs, but you are also attending to their emotional and mental needs. Our father told us about the treats, puzzles, readings, and notes that your staff regularly put on his apartment doorknob, which has lifted his spirits while being isolated away from his family for such an extended period of time.

We also wanted to thank you for the frequent, consistent, and thorough communication you are providing through automated phone messages to us and written letters to our father. Keeping us so well informed provides us with the reassurance that our father is well taken care of at Washington Oakes, which takes away from any anxiety of worrying about his needs being met throughout this time of separation from him.

Our sincere appreciation and thanks,

Mary & Tom M.
