Every February, Leisure Care communities across the country participate in February’s Fitness Frenzy. Throughout the entire month, communities are encouraged to get active while raising giving back to the communities where we live, work, and play. Learn how Treeo Raleigh independent living is exceeding expectations, going above and beyond to support the local Raleigh community with a walkathon.

Living the Three-Thirds Lifestyle at Treeo Raleigh

Leisure Care communities embrace what we call a Three-Thirds Lifestyle. Every employee is committed to leading a balanced life, putting family first, giving back to the community, and then meaningfully contributing to the company.

Fitness Frenzy is one way that communities create a meaningful opportunity to give back while also promoting a healthy lifestyle of staff and residents. Communities raise funds by taking pledges of $0.05 for every minute exercised. Residents and staff can walk, swim, dance, bike, Wii bowling, whatever they choose to do, as long as they are moving! The possibilities are endless. The goal is for each community to raise $1,000 to benefit the One Eighty Foundation. Treeo Raleigh has met that goal and is still going!

Treeo Raleigh Walkathon

In the spirit of philanthropy and giving back, Treeo Raleigh is hosting a 9-hour walkathon around the community. The event will be held on February 29, beginning at 6 am and ending at 3 pm. Because Treeo Raleigh has reached its donation limit for The One Eighty Foundation, all proceeds will go to the Raleigh’s Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a non-profit aimed at ending hunger in our community.

“It doesn’t surprise me that our employees and residents are so excited to participate in this epic, philanthropic event. It’s the Treeo Raleigh way!”  – Eric Soderlund, Sales Manager

Residents, employees, families, and friends are all welcome to walk. We will see how many miles around the community we can walk and receive donations per mile.  Families and friends are welcome to walk together.

At 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 29, all participants will complete a final lap with a party to follow.

Contact Treeo Raleigh today to sign up and participate! We would love for you to join us in our commitment to make a difference in the local community!
