Woodland Terrace senior living was among the first senior living communities in the United States to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Take a closer look at how the senior living community in Bothell, WA, has been handling the COVID-19 pandemic and is moving forward with vaccine clinics for residents and staff.

Woodland Terrace ‘Crushes’ COVID

During the pandemic, the staff at Woodland Terrace, an independent living senior community, quickly adapted to changing health protocols, respecting social distancing guidelines while keeping seniors active and engaged in community life.

“I just wanted to thank you and all the rest of your team for doing such a great job. Your communications are excellent and make me feel reassured that my parents are in good hands. I’m so grateful that my parents live at Woodland Terrace. Thank you, and all of your employees, for all you do for my parents and the rest of your residents!”

“To our staff (and friends) at Woodland Terrace, Your kindness is greatly appreciated. Just a note to let you know how much we appreciate all you did for us, to keep us safe and entertained. Our love to you!”

“On behalf of our family, I wanted to say thank you to you and all the staff at Woodland Terrace for all you do for the residents to keep them safe, healthy, and happy. More than ever I am so happy that mom chose your residence. Keep up the great work and know that you all are very much appreciated!”

Well aware of the dangers of social isolation, the staff went above and beyond to bring Five-Star Fun every day. They hosted a New Year’s Eve party with masks and social distancing to welcome the New Year. On January 6, 2021, residents and staff at Woodland Terrace in Bothell, WA, held their first three vaccine clinics. After ten months of COVID-safe protocols that exceeded CDC guidance, residents and staff were thrilled to take a big step in the path back to a normal life.

“Crushing COVID” was the theme of the vaccination clinic, and residents took photos declaring their part in ‘crushing’ the pandemic. The staff also put out Orange Crush drinks, and there were refreshments available. Residents were thrilled to be taking part in this historic moment.
