Home/Our Communities/Fitness Frenzy at San Marino

This February, San Marino participated in Fitness Frenzy for the entire month and raised thousands of dollars for a great cause! Learn more about our active community and how we make a positive impact in our community.

San Marino Donation to Reading PartnersFor the month of February, San Marino residents recorded active minutes of exercise and sponsors donated money for every active minute. San Marino resident Elayne Jacobson, 92, was our top performer. As a community, were were able to raise $4,525.

“Little did I know, those active steps I took in February would go such a long way!” – Elayne Jacobson

We were able to present a check to Reading Partners at local Harris Park Elementary School. Reading Partners is a non-profit that partners with schools to engage volunteer reading partners who work one-on-one with students who struggle in reading. Volunteers work individually with students for 45 minutes twice a weekend following a research-based curriculum.

Residents and staff had a great time raising money for local children and giving back to the community. Together we can accomplish wonderful things! Visit San Marino today and see how you can join us as we work to improve the lives of those around us!

Live Big. Live Bold.

Retirement should feel like you’re on a permanent vacation which is exactly why our communities celebrate freedom from obligation, helping you pursue new interests.
