Meeting and Exceeding Health Protocols at Markham House
At Markham House, we are doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. We are aware that people with no symptoms are able to spread the disease and we are taking the right steps to protect our residents and our staff.
“I feel safe and more comfortable when the staff has a mask and gloves on.” – Markham House resident
Appropriate personal protective equipment is the best way to prevent spreading the virus. This special equipment creates a barrier between people and germs, reducing the chance of being exposed to infectious germs. At Markham House, we require that all residents and visitors wear face masks. Our employees wear face shields and eye protection, in addition to their face mask.
Other wellness protocols include,
- Hourly cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces
- Hand sanitizer (containing 70% alcohol) available throughout the community
- Daily COVID symptom screener
- Daily temperature check
- Monthly COVID testing for employees and residents
- A cautious and restrictive visitor protocol
- Social distancing requirements throughout the community
We would love to show you how we are taking the right steps to stop the spread and better protect our residents during this uncertain time. Call Markham House today at 503-244-9500 to learn more about our policies and procedures.
