New Name. New Look. New Signature Programs.
The Landing of Long Cove embodies their commitment to Five-Star Fun, to a retirement done well, and is currently undergoing a physical transformation to more accurately reflect their community culture. The renovations at The Landing of Long Cove will provide residents with all the amenities of a 21st-century retirement and wellness amenities, including our signature program including PrimeFit, Travel by Leisure Care, and Opal, Leisure Care’s innovative memory care program. The renovations are both minor and major, totally redesigning the retirement experience with a focus on technology and wellness.
Katie Huff, General Manager at the Landing of Long Cove, is excited about the renovation stating,
With Leisure Care, it’s about helping the residents be their best selves. This is a place where you can move and thrive. You don’t need to settle – you can come here and really have purpose in your life. We want our seniors to have a space that is enjoyable to share with family and friends as well as activities that give them a sense of purpose. The goal is to incorporate new technology while still keeping our main focus on wellness.
Renovations at Long Cove
The renovations are expected to be completed in October of 2018 and include:
- A new lobby featuring a coffee and juice bar during the day and wine bar in the evening
- A new culinary garden with fresh herbs grown in the community and used for chef-prepared food and drink
- A new gaming area complete with a pool table, jukebox, and poker table
- Spa and aromatherapy room
- A new tech center with iPads, Rosetta Stone Language Learning, and Brain HQ
- More dining space for memory care residents
- New paint, furniture, and carpet throughout the community
