On December 7, 2021, Leisure Care sponsored an in-person seminar at Murano Senior Living on caring for our minds, bodies, and spirits in all stages of life.
Aligning our minds, bodies, and spirit can significantly impact our quality of life, helping us thrive at any age, but especially in older adulthood. A panel of four aging experts helped residents and guests at Murano Senior Living understand the challenge and opportunities of mental health, focusing on moving forward into new chapters of life with a balanced mind, body, and spirit.
Led by aging experts Dr. Sikirat Iyabo Tinubu-Karch MD, MHA (AKA Dr. ‘TK’), Anne Arntson, ERYT200, YACEP®, Breathworks® Accredited, Ruben Pereya, Certified Coach, Fitness Specialist, and Murano’s PrimeFit Wellness instructor, and Dr. Jane Tornatore, therapist, the seminar focused on aligning our mind, body, and spirit to age well.
Focusing on top concerns in senior health, including mental health, our experts walked attendees through a personal health questionnaire to evaluate their current physical and mental health. From there, they were asked to evaluate how they currently feel versus their goals and preferences. Attendees walked through a mindfulness exercise and then were encouraged by our PrimeFit Wellness instructor to make small positive changes today that can significantly impact future strength and mobility.
