Woodbridge Memory Care Q&A

There are approximately 18 memory care communities near Woodbridge, Connecticut. Finding the best one for your family member is very personal and we encourage you to visit potential communities to find the best fit.

There are several top-rated memory care communities near Woodbridge, CT. The Linden at Woodbridge is a newly renovated community that offers secured memory care, dementia-friendly designed rooms, dementia-friendly meals, and more.

The average stay in a memory care facility varies greatly. Some people spend only a few months in memory care while others move in earlier and stay for years.

To find the best memory care community for your family, think through your priorities. What does your loved one need? How do you want the care to be provided? What are the options for care as dementia progresses? Contact The Linden at Woodbridge to learn more about our unique memory care community and how we can partner with you in care.

Choosing when to put someone in memory care is a highly personal decision. Many families find they are simply unable to provide the high level of care needed for someone with dementia. Signs that it may be time to move to memory care include concerns of safety, caregiver exhaustion, financial negligence, and concerns about cleanliness.

Memory care and assisted living are both types of senior living. Memory care tailors assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) received in assisted living for people with dementia. Memory care is usually provided in a secured environment to protect people with dementia from wandering.

Because memory care often requires a higher level of care than assisted living, it can be more expensive.
