Markham House senior living in Portland, Oregon offers a range of senior care services including assisted living. The last few months have brought our team together as we seek creative and innovative ways to engage with and serve our residents and their families. In honor our team’s hard work and dedication, Leisure Care communities across the country celebrated National Leisure Care Day on May 7, 2020. Learn how Markham House employees were honored on this day.

Over the last few months, employees at Markham House have been called upon to do what they do best – deliver excellent care and outstanding communication to our residents and their families. Our team worked together to navigate quickly changing protocols to best serve our residents. We came together like never before to meet challenges head-on and creatively solve problems while providing unconditional support.

On May 7, 2020, to show our staff how much we appreciate them, we celebrated National Leisure Care Day along with Leisure Care communities across the country. All staff and residents gathered outside, wearing our masks and maintaining social distancing. We also wore matching purple t-shirts, provided by Leisure Care, and celebrated with a smoothie bar, ice cream cart, outdoor games, and more. We also took some time to share heartwarming and inspirational comments, showing how united we are and how much we truly care for each other.
